About CricPlot

One writer, one match, one considered story

CricPlot began with a simple habit: after every international and IPL match, sit down and write the story of how the result was decided. Each piece runs 1,200 to 1,500 words, built around the turning points rather than the scoreline.

Our commitment

A deliberate alternative to live scoreboards and reactive commentary.

Every match gets its own story, written after the play has finished. We capture the context around the result, the overs that turned the contest, and the tactical choices that shaped the outcome. We do not chase clicks with match reactions or churn out score updates. The archive grows one considered piece at a time, so a reader can return to any series, year, or team and find a complete account of what happened.

Editorial standards

Accuracy, accountability, and independent analysis

Every claim about a player, a team, or a match is checked against verifiable match records before publication. Where a detail cannot be confirmed, we say so rather than fill the gap. Corrections are made openly, dated, and noted on the affected story. Analysis is labelled as analysis, and opinion is kept separate from reported fact. CricPlot is an independent publication and is not affiliated with the BCCI, the ICC, the IPL, or any team.

The author, Editorial Policy, and structured organization details are published alongside every story. Each Match Story carries NewsArticle, Breadcrumb, and Organization schema so that search engines and readers can identify the publisher, the match, and the series. The author page sets out background and writing scope in plain terms, and readers can contact the desk directly with corrections or feedback through the Contact page.
